Pre-CanPower Skating

Pre-CanPowerSkate is designed for young skaters, approximately 4-6 years of age. The curriculum is presented in three progressive levels and helps to develop basic skating abilities in a power skating specific environment, including balance skills, forward and backward skating, stopping, turning and agility skills and runs in conjunction with the CanSkate program.

Full CSA approved hockey equipment may be worn for this course. Hockey gloves and a stick are mandatory.

Numbers are limited to a 10:1 skater to coach ratio.

Pre-CanPowerSkate is offered on Tuesday  - 6:30-7:00 PM

Full Program: October 3 - March 30 (no lessons December 19 - January 7 or March 12-16)

Fall Session: October 3 - December 16

Winter Session:  January 9 – March 30

EGSC is proud to introduce Karon Dalby, recognized as Skate Canada Central Ontario Club Coach of the Year 2010/11 and selected to attend Skate Canada "CanSkate University" in May 2011 as our CanSkate Program Coordinator.

What should my child wear to skating lessons? - CSA approved hockey helmets, hockey gloves and stick are mandatory for all Pre-CanPower Skaters - full hockey equipment is optional.


While we do our best to accommodate skaters into the session of their choice, the EGSC Executive reserve the right to adjust programs or move skaters based on skill level and the number of skaters enrolled in each program as necessary.
