Policy
The information requested by EGSC at time
of registration is used for its sole and exclusive use to
ensure the delivery of the services purchased by members from
the Club. All information received will be kept in the strictest
of confidence.
Conditions
of Registration
Applications will be processed in order of
receipt. The Club reserves the right to revise programs based
on suitable enrollment levels. The applicant agrees that the
East Gwillimbury Skating Club (EGSC) and/or the Executive
and Coaching Staff will not be held responsible for any accidents
or losses however caused. The applicant releases the EGSC,
Executive and coaches from all claims and damages which may
arise as a result of or by reason of such accidents or losses.
The applicant also give permission for the skaters name and/or
picture to be printed in various publications including the
EGSC Web site. All skaters agree to abide by the Code of conduct,
rules and policies of the EGSC. The Skate Canada membership
and insurance fees are included in the general fee structure.
The music fee for Test Stream skaters is included in the general
fee structure.
Refund Policy
There will be no refunds except for medical
reasons or extraordinary circumstances approved by the EGSC
Executive. All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing
to the EGSC Executive. Refunds will be issued in the form
of a cheque for the remaining balance and mailed to the address
of the main contact. An administration fee of $50 will be
subtracted from all refunds. Please allow approximately 3
weeks for review & processing from time of notification.
Acceptance
All fees are due within 3 days of online enrollment.
Skaters are not automatically accepted into the program of
their choice. The Club reserves the right to adjust programs
or move skaters based on suitable enrollment numbers. Confirmation
of enrollment will be sent by email once all payments are
received.
Code of Conduct
- CSA approved hockey or ski helmets and
mittens are required for Canskate, Frosty Tot and CanHockey
programs.
- Skaters must wear suitable attire for
skating (long scarves, hats, etc. are not suitable). Jeans
are not to be worn as they are restricting and do not let
the coach see the body line of the skater. Long hair must
be tied back.
- No one is allowed on the ice without
skates.
- The club will not be responsible for
lost or stolen articles.
- Everyone is asked to respect one another
and treat everyone with courtesy. Therefore, inappropriate
behavior, profane language, obscene gestures and physical
aggressiveness will not be tolerated.
- Social discussions between skaters must
take place off of the ice.
- No food, gum or cell phones allowed on
the ice.
- Skaters in a lesson and skating their
solo have the right of way on the ice. Spins are to be done
in the center of the ice and jumps on the outside.
- Skaters are expected to skate the entire
program including the stroking session.
- Music will be played on a rotational
basis. Only coaches may request music.
If skaters do not abide by these rules, they
will be asked to leave the ice and a letter will be sent home
to their parents.
